The stair nosing section of the full stair landing profile is provided in a contrasting in colour to the rest of the step. This is sightline is commonly 55mm x 55mm across the initial rise and going sections.

This is designed to provide a guidance sightline to highlight the edge of the step, in order to prevent slips, trips and falls.

Installation of Anti-Slip Stair Landing Covers

  • Step One: Ensure the existing surface is clean, dry, and free from loose materials, grease, oil, and dust. Before installation, it is important to repair or fill any pre-existing concave or damaged areas. This will create a flat, even surface for the stair tread to securely fit. Ensure the underside of the stair tread is also clean, dry, and free from dust.

  • Step Two: Place the landing cover in position to ensure it freely fits without any hindrance.

  • Step Three: When using adhesive, apply a 6mm bead 30mm from the edge of the landing around the perimeter of the underside. Followed by cross hatches 200mm apart across the underside of the sheet.

  • Step Four: Position the landing in place and apply pressure.

  • Step Five: Position the fixing holes 25mm from the front and 50mm from the rear when using screw fixings. Allow for spacings no more than 400mm apart.

  • Step Six: Use an electric screwdriver to apply the screw fixings through the fixing holes into your surface.
