Specification and Size Options
Non-Slip Stair Treads are available in any size, shape, and colour to suit all applications.
We can supply in lengths up to a maximum of 3 Metres. The modular design enables the profiles to be join up together with a consistent joint.
They are most commonly ordered in 4 mm and 6 mm thicknesses. We recommend 4mm thick for light pedestrian traffic, and 6 mm thicknesses for regular and heavy footfall.
We offer fine grit, standard and heavy-duty (extra-coarse) grit options.
Please Note: The design features a contrasting stair nosing, across the front lip of the profile. The size must be at least 55mm x 55mm to follow the DDA (Disability-Discrimination Act) Guidelines.
GRP Stair Tread Covers permanently cover steps with an anti-slip surface finish to prevent slips, trips, and falls.
These combine with GRP Flooring Sheets for walkways, and Stair Landing Covers for landing areas of all types, sizes, and shapes.
GRP, also known as Fibreglass, benefits from robust, hard-wearing, and durable characteristics. The material is resistant to weathering, corrosion, impact, and wear.
The surface features an abrasive grit finish to enhance grip and traction under foot, to prevent slips and falls.
Slip Testing
The SureGrip Anti-Slip Surface has been extensively slip tested by an external facility, in accordance with BS7976.2. The slip resistant surface was successful. It surpasses the test criteria requirements to be an "enhanced non-slip surface", in both wet and dry conditions.
The PTV (Pendulum Test Value) Slip Testing Report (Compliant to BS7976.2) - Reported a score of 78 in the dry, and 68 in the wet. For any score above 36 or above, the chance of a slip is 1 in 1 million.
